Wise Foundation Supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

The Wise Foundation is working towards creating awareness about UNSDGs related to environment and sustainability, among the global student community through various activities. We work with various partners like the United Nations, European Union, Governments of Denmark, Finland, Switzerland and Germany, IIT-Madras, IIT-Guwahati and IIT-BHU.

WISE aims at addressing complex environment challenges present in the world, learning from manuals established by various UN agencies like UNEP (Environment Program), UNFCC (Framework Convention on Climate Change), IPCC (Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change) and UNDP (Development Program).

The Wise Foundation is a pioneer in creating the International Environment Olympiad for Indian school students. This Olympiad teaches the global best practices in areas of Environment and Sustainability, Research and Innovation, Startup and Entrepreneurship.

We also conduct specialised teaching programs like online seminars on Water Awareness as well as IEC projects on programs like Jal Jeevan Mission across the country. Offline programs include Study Visits to various IITs within India as well some international organisations outside India.

Focus areas

Environment Olympiad

WISE aims to create awareness about environmental issues amongst the youth of India. We focus on learning and finding solutions for environmental problems across the world. Around 25.000 students participated in environment olympiad every year and won many prizes.

Swiss It On Wheels

The Embassy of Switzerland in India, under the Foreign Policy Strategy 2020-2023, plans special bus journey project to reach thousands of children and adolescents and spread the message of Swiss-Indian friendship into cities and rural parts of India.

European Union Youth Club

EUGTS (EU Goes To School) is a part of the EU’s outreach initiatives to connect with the youth and foster stronger India-EU relations.
