The Embassy of Switzerland in India, under the Foreign Policy Strategy 2020-2023, plans special bus journey to reach thousands of children and adolescents and spread the message of Swiss-Indian friendship into cities and rural parts of India
The objective of this campaign ‘SWISS IT ON WHEELS’ is to create awareness and bring low tech, clean tech solutions for indoor air and water pollution as well as waste segregation and recycling at individual level. Switzerland supports international efforts to promote human and economic development, reduce poverty, and boost shared prosperity around the world
The key message, Switzerland is a country which encourages ‘innovation in the sustainable development sector and protection of natural resources’ is spread along with it. The broad-based cooperation between the two countries cover areas including trade, science, education & culture
Schools can register to become part of this journey. There is no registration fees.

Switzerland and India signed a science and technology agreement in 2003 and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the social sciences in 2012. The activities covered in these agreements fall within the scope of the Indo-Swiss Joint Research Programme.
